Habana
Introduction
In the early 1990s, the creation and publication of comics was no longer the order of the day in Cuba. The economic crisis that hit the country hard imposed other priorities. But in 2009, a group of cartoonists took up the challenge of reviving Cuban comics, in complete freedom. Most of them were tackling this popular genre for the first time.
By observing Havana and, above all, by living there, they came up with these stories, which were first published in Spanish in Cuba.
Of course, they had help. How can one remain insensitive to the enthusiasm of these new authors, their urban chronicles, their way of dreaming Havana.
