很久很久以前，有一隻長的像紐西蘭聖誕樹的貓頭鷹Tuki，她有著又大又蓬鬆的紅頭髮跟綠色的身體。她住在紐西蘭海岸沿線的聖誕樹區，那裡以盛夏綻放絢麗火紅花朵而富盛名。她覺得到了可以飛得比其他貓頭鷹都還更遠一點，好好地去探索這個世界的時候。在一個濃霧的早晨，她啟程並沿著海岸線飛翔。她發現了離家不遠的新海灘與海灣附近有著許多紐西蘭聖誕樹。Tuki也看到黑暗的洞穴、怪奇岩石，以及在海面上漂浮的巨木。它們都來自哪裡呢？這隻小貓頭鷹從未如此享受這樣的時光，但一陣強風將Tuki吹得離家越來越遠⋯⋯

Once upon a time there was a a little secretive Pohutukaw-owl named Tuki with a large and puffy red head and a green body. She had been living in the Pohutukawa trees that grow in the coastal areas of New Zealand and are known for their beautiful red flowers that bloom in summer. She decided it was time to fly a little further than the other owls and explore the world. On a foggy morning, she decided to set off and fly along the coast. She discovered new beaches and bays with many Pohutukawa trees that had grown not far from home. Tuki also saw dark caves, interesting rocks and huge pieces of wood floating in the sea. Where do they come from? The little owl had never been enjoying her time that much, but the strong wind blew our Tuki farther and farther from the coast and away from home…
