Introduction

The third book in a hexalogy Turning Points of the World in 20th Century Series!

The mid-20th century is called the “Age of Change” because it was the period of the fastest change in the world in thousands of years. After World War II ended, there were many events that happened as a result of World War. Almost all the great powerful countries lost their power, except two nations, the United States and the Soviet Union. Because of that, it led to the “Cold War” period. Both expanded their power to the other regions around the world because they wanted the other countries to be under their control. Moreover, both competed to be a lord of space, so there was a “Space Race” that each side contested to go to space and land on the moon first.

In this book, the author selected the important events that continue from the former book. In the period 1941-1960, it is 20 years of the beginning of the Cold War that continued for 45 years.
