The Wonder of Learning – The hundred languages of Children
Introduction
This book is the catalogue of a large exhibition travelling the world since 2008; it speaks of the developments and the innovative drive of the educational experience in Reggio Emilia.
The latest projects carried out in Reggio Emilia’s municipal infant-toddler centres and preschools are presented in five different sections. The book is a broad interdisciplinary kaleidoscope, fully illustrated with children’s work and pictures, traversing different languages and media.
The metaphor that represents the entire cultural project is a democratic square, a place open to debate for the construction of a new idea and experience of citizenship.
