This work both branches off from mainstream indigenous literature and builds bridges
to mainstream Taiwan Literature. The poems within shine with unique creativity and
reflect the author’s eager dual pursuit of art and spirituality. Ethnically indigenous
people in modern society are challenged by social change and issues of ethnic
heritage. Numerous cultural and social dialogue difficulties are often reflected in new
and old information. Past mistakes and frustrations must be demystified in the modern
era, and their meaning to the ethnic group redefined.
