RANDOM FAMILIES
Introduction
Random Families is a story about the hijinks that happen when ‘so-won’ subscribes to a “random family” through a smartphone app called “Subscribe to Anything”.
The family doesn’t talk to each other or care about each other. Her mom and dad are always busy and don’t give her time, and her brother is always mean to her. One day, a random family appears in front of her. Random Family is a subscription service that uses AI to send you a family based on your preferences, with a one-week trial period and only two chances to return.
However, contrary to her expectations, each of the random families has their own flaws, and in the end, we realize that no one is as important as our own family.
Random Families is a wonderful portrait of people who use their smartphones to order and use anything conveniently, but it also reminds us of the disconnected family relationships in modern society. It also reminds children of the true meaning of family.
