Chitose Funabashi, a journalist who works in the Yokohama branch office of a newspaper, has an ambition: to earn a transfer to the Society desk of the main office as soon as possible. To achieve that, she will do anything to get a scoop. One day, nearly forced into intimate relations with one of her scoop targets, a district prosecutor, she escapes with the help of a man who happened to be nearby, sparking a chain of events that makes her rethink her goals.
