Jury comment：
A belly band is used to create this two-layered book cover. The choice of different paper textures and sizes, along with the unique binding technique, produce a rather three-dimensional effect for a two-dimensional cover. The larger cover is made of paper with a concrete texture. Through the printing effect of white ink, part of the book title is cleverly covered to reflect the gist of the book—as people grow up, part of their thoughts and opinions are often trapped by invisible walls but they don’t know it.

The smaller cover is made of brightly colored paper, attached to a three-dimensional structure of gradient circles of silver glitter cardstock. Being shown just a little bit, the glitter circles are like random lights shining through a door crack; but as the small cover is opened, they pop up like magic and create a playful visual effect. The concept echoes with the subheading written on the colored paper—The World Beyond Adults’ Imagination. The silver bookmark hidden in the inside pages is also a smart touch.

In general, the cover design reflects the strong contrast between the cold reality of adulthood and the splendor of youth. The special structure and creative layout successfully present the core of the book. It not only catches readers’ eyes but also arouses their curiosity.
