Today Shop

At dawn, the Today Shop opens its doors. To begin their day, people must stop by and drink a small bottle filled with “today.” One by one, customers arrive—a busy office worker, a student, an elderly person, and even a young child.
Some “todays” are quickly forgotten amid laughter and chatter. Some are so happy that one wishes time would stand still. Others are so difficult that one wants to turn away. Yet no matter what kind of day it is, there is one unchanging truth: every “today” is precious.
The Today Shop reminds us of the value of today. Many people, looking back at their lives, are left with regret—wondering why they did not live better or try harder. When we think about the final “today” that will one day come to each of us, how does it make us feel? If we believe we have let too many days pass without meaning, perhaps today is the day to begin again—with a new heart and a new way of living. After all, today is not just one of many days, but yesterday of a tomorrow that will never return.
