Charlie, a man who wishes to die but lacks the courage to end his own life, summons a demon of death to take his life. However, the demon has a rule—it can only take the lives of humans who cherish life and fear death, not those who wish to die. To make matters worse, the demon cannot return to the underworld until the purpose of its summoning is fulfilled.

With no other option, the demon decides to stay on Earth and gradually teach Charlie to see the beauty and value of life before finally fulfilling his wish.
